IFS℠ TrainedOn the outside, you look like you’ve got it handled.
Inside, you’re exhausted.
You may be the one everyone leans on
—at work, at home, in your family. You keep showing up, solving problems, and carrying what needs to be carried, even when you’re running on empty.
Maybe your mind rarely quiets down.
Maybe the grief you thought you had moved past still catches you off guard.
Maybe anxiety hums beneath everything, even on the good days.
And maybe you’ve spent so much of your life navigating expectations
—between two cultures, two languages, or different versions of who you’re supposed to be—that you’ve gotten very good at adapting, but not always at knowing what you need.
You keep going because that’s what you do.
But keeping going and actually feeling okay aren’t the same thing. Somewhere along the way, the difference may have become hard to find.
That’s worth paying attention to. And you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Therapy that meets you in your language—and gives you something meaningful to work with.
I’m Claudia—a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, born in Colombia, raised in New Jersey, and fully bilingual.
I built Empezar Wellness for people who want more than simply talking about what’s hard.
My style is warm and collaborative, with practical tools to help you understand yourself, work through what’s keeping you stuck, and feel more grounded in your life.
You can do therapy in English, Spanish, Spanglish, or whatever mix feels most natural to you—without having to translate yourself as you go. It can also mean working with someone who understands the complexities of culture, family, and expectations without needing everything explained. These perspectives inform my approach, while your experience remains uniquely your own.
How we can work together
-

Individual Therapy
Ongoing support
One-on-one therapy for anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, trauma, and life transitions. A warm, collaborative space to understand what’s keeping you stuck and develop practical ways forward.
-

Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART®)
Relief from memories that still feel stuck
An evidence-based therapy that uses guided eye movements to help the brain reprocess painful memories and images — frequently in a small number of sessions.
-

ART® & IFS℠ Therapy Intensives
Deeper work, in a shorter window
Extended, focused sessions for people who are ready to work on what’s been weighing on them without waiting months for weekly sessions to build momentum. Combining ART® and Internal Family Systems ℠ (IFS ℠), intensives create space for concentrated, meaningful work.
People come to me when…
Anxiety or overthinking won’t switch off
Grief or loss is still sitting heavier than expected
A major life transition—a move, a health change, a new role, or a new country—has knocked you off balance
Burnout has quietly become your baseline
Trauma from the past keeps showing up in the present
You want therapy that understands the bigger picture—including culture, language, family, and the expectations you carry

Hi, I’m Claudia.
Claudia Mosquera, LCSW — Licensed Clinical Social Worker (FL, GA, TX). Bilingual therapist and founder of Empezar Wellness.
I was nine when my father died, and I watched my mother rebuild our lives in a new country while navigating her own grief. Her resilience shaped how I understand strength, what it means to carry a lot, and how I show up for the people I work with.
For more than a decade, I’ve worked across child welfare, community mental health, schools, and medical settings.
I created Empezar Wellness to offer therapy that feels warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, and practical
—helping people better understand themselves, work through what’s keeping them stuck, and move forward with greater clarity and intention.
Not sure where to start? That’s what the free consultation call is for.
Fifteen minutes, no commitment, in English or Spanish. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, answer your questions, and see whether we’re a good fit. And if I’m not the right fit, I’ll help point you in the right direction.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, trauma, life transitions, caregiver stress, and the emotional impact of demanding careers and responsibilities. Accelerated Resolution Therapy® is an evidence-based therapy that uses guided eye movements and other techniques to help the brain reprocess distressing memories, images, and emotional responses. It is often completed in fewer sessions than traditional weekly therapy, although the experience and number of sessions vary from person to person.
-
ART® & IFS℠ Therapy Intensives provide a more concentrated format for clients who want to dedicate extended time to their therapeutic work. Intensives combine Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART®) with Internal Family Systems℠ (IFS ℠) to create space for focused, deeper work without having to spread the process across months of weekly sessions. Intensives can be tailored to the needs and readiness of each client.

You don't have to figure that out on your own. During the consultation and initial assessment, we'll talk about what you're experiencing, what you hope to change, and what type of support makes the most sense. Some people benefit from ongoing individual therapy, while others may be better suited for the focused work of ART® or the concentrated format of an intensive.
